Silvia Breiburd is an educational leader with extensive experience in primary and secondary teaching, management, and teacher training. She holds degrees in Law and Education and a PgDip in Applied Educational Leadership and Management from the University of London. As President of Argentina TESOL, she promotes sustainable, generationally-responsive leadership and empowers teachers through action research. A dynamic international speaker and coach, Silvia focuses on reimagining education for emerging, AI-mediated learning environments in both general education and TESOL.

This plenary invites educators to pause and reconsider their role at this pivotal moment—and to dare to go beyond by reweaving current assumptions with past effective practices. Drawing on the metaphor of Back to the Future, it explores how small pedagogical choices today shape the trajectories of tomorrow, how revisiting past strategies can reveal new forms of relevance in changing contexts, and calls on ELT professionals to reclaim education as a space for questioning, speculation, and ethical responsibility—where teaching means not only providing answers, but cultivating the courage to ask “What if?”
