She holds the CELTA, Delta Modules 1 and 3 and is certified in the Cambridge Train the Trainer course, which has equipped her with skills in teacher development, training delivery and mentoring. Drawing from my experience as a TEFL educator, I will share practical examples of using AI for lesson planning, assessment, and reflective practice. For many teachers, Gen AI offers a flexible and accessible alternative for professional development. Whether time constraints or geographic limitations are a factor, these tools can provide valuable opportunities for growth, creativity, and connection. The session will highlight both the benefits—such as efficiency, inspiration, and self-directed learning—and the challenges, including ethical considerations and the importance of critical use.
