Es una Institución Cultural de Teatro Independiente, con Personería Jurídica (Asociación Civil sin Fines del Lucro, otorgada por el Ministerio de Educación y Cultura). Como es de público conocimiento, su denominación se tomó a partir de la primera obra estrenada por el grupo en el Teatro del Anglo el 6 de febrero de 1988, “¿QUIÉN LE TEME A ITALIA FAUSTA?”.

La Compañía administra las dos salas y cafetería del Teatro del Anglo desde 1996.
